Candidates who wish to run for elective office this fall under the banner of the Democratic, Republican, Conservative, Independence or Working Families party have to file their designating petitions with the St. Lawrence County Board of Elections by 5 p.m. Thursday, July 11.
Candidates running as independents (as opposed to the Independence Party or other parties) file their petitions from Aug. 13 to Aug. 20.
Certificates of nomination, for candidates chosen by party caucuses, must be filed by Sept. 17.
