OSWEGATCHIE -- A DePeyster woman was airlifted to Burlington, Vt. today (July 7) at 12:35 p.m. after sustaining injuries in a motorcycle accident.
Susan M. Matheson, 63, of county Route 10 crashed while northbound on state Route 812 near Backus Camp Road, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff deputies.
She failed to negotiate a curve and struck guardrails, deputies said.
Ogdensburg Rescue Squad took her to the airport, where she was airlifted to University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vt.
She has not been charged and the accident is under investigation, deputies said.
Also assisting at the scene were Heuvelton Fire and First Responders and New York State Police.
