Dehn Robert Firman, 54, formerly of Norwood

STUART, FL. -- Dehn Robert Firman, 54, a resident of Stuart, Florida and formerly of Norwood, NY, quietly left this earth on March 2, 2024.  Dehn was born on December 17, 1969 at St. Francis Hospital in Olean, NY. He was the first born son of Robert P. Firman and Alta K Haggett.  Dehn lives his life to the fullest with his wife Shawn and his best 4 legged friend Derby.  Together, they built their lives in their beloved community that meant the most to them.

Dehn began his working career in the food service industry in Ogunquit, Maine after graduating college and eventually migrated to southern Florida where he met and married the love of his life, Shawn R. McCraghan, Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania.  Later in life, Dehn was most proud of his self taught plumbing skills and his care and compassion for the many race horses at Payson Park Thoroughbred Training Center. 

Besides his wife Shawn, his beloved dog Derby and his parents, Dehn leaves behind four siblings, Leslie Graham (Bob)  Kent, Washington, Alta Getman (John) Lakeland Hills, Washington, Aaron Firman (Liz) Auburn, Washington  and Samuel Firman (Lindsey) Bakersfield, California.  Also left behind are several nieces, nephews, special cousins, aunts, uncles and many many friends.  There will be no calling hours. 

A celebration of Dehn’s life will be planned for a later date in Florida and New York.  Donations may be made to a charity of choice or to your local animal shelter.  Dehn will be remembered for his quick wit, fun loving and curious nature, resilience, genuine compassion and his ability to find the shine in everyday life.  As Dehn’s dad said, “The brightest candle burns the fastest.  God Rest His Soul”.  Forever  in our hearts.  We love you Dehn Robert Firman.  Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.buckfuneralhome.com .
