MASSENA — The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) today announced that Environmental Conservation Police Officers (ECOs) are offering youth ages 12 through 15 the free opportunity to hunt turkey this spring during the St. Lawrence County Youth Turkey Hunt April 14 and 20.
The annual hunt with ECOs is a two-day event that starts with an educational portion at the Massena Rod and Gun Club, 155 Patterson Road, Sunday, April 14 at 11 a.m.
Hunting day is Saturday, April 20
Youth hunters must possess a state small game license and valid turkey tags. Equipment will be provided if necessary.
Hosted by the Massena Rod and Gun Club and sponsored by the National Wild Turkey Federation and the New York Conservation Officers Association.
