Due to the recent rise of COVID-19 cases in the community, Northern Credit Union is decreasing maximum capacity limits for its branches, effective Monday, Nov. 23.
These precautions are being taken to protect member-owners, internal-owners, and the
community as a whole, said a press release from the NCU.
The following is the maximum number of people (members and internal-owners) permitted inside each St. Lawrence County relationship center at one time:
Gouverneur: 5
Massena: 3
Additionally, Northern’s Massena Relationship Center will now be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. to afford members greater convenience to complete their transactional banking.
Furthermore, our Carthage Relationship Center will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 24 for a scheduled power outage as part of our expansion project.
Northern encourages members to use Online and Mobile Banking, Video Banking and other digital services to do nearly all banking from home including, new accounts and loans, document signing, account maintenance and more.
As a reminder, masks are still required when entering any Northern relationship center in accordance with NYS law. Hand sanitizer is available in each lobby to use before and after each transaction, there are social distancing decals on the floor to help maintain appropriate social distancing, and team members continue to clean shared surfaces frequently throughout the day.
