CANTON -- The St. Lawrence County Soil and Water Conservation District will present the required four-hour erosion and sediment control training for contractors and developers 8 a.m. to noon March 29 at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Learning Farm, 2043 St. Rt. 68.
This training is required for all contractors working on projects that disturb more than one acre of soil and have a stormwater permit from the state Department of Environmental Conservation.
Contractors and developers will have to preregister by calling 386-3582 or emailing conservation@slcswcd.org by March 24 to receive credits. The training is $75 for certification, reference materials and refreshments.
