CANTON – Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County has changed its upcoming local food workshops to two free webinars.
E-Commerce: Selling Online 101 will take place online on Friday, April 17 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Get Seen Online: Ten Tips For Your Food Business will be Friday, May 1 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Both webinars will be presented by Breaking Even Communications and moderated by CCE’s own Local Food Program Leader, Flip Filippi.
The first webinar, E-Commerce: Selling Online 101, will help producers figure out what type of online sales will work best for your business. It will also include case studies from other farms and food businesses and how they decided what they needed for effective ecommerce.
The Get Seen Online: Ten Tips for Your Food Business webinar will discuss strategies you can use to increase your visibility and touch on topics like search engines, social media marketing, business listings and other aspects of internet marketing.
These free webinars are part of a full year of technical assistance for farmers and food entrepreneurs made possible with funding from USDA Rural Business Development.
To register for the webinars, go to the specific webinar under the events section of CCE’s website at stlawrence.cce.cornell.edu/events. You will receive a link to the webinar after you have registered.
If you would like more information after visiting the webinar page in the events section of the website, you can contact Flip at mpf65@cornell.edu.
