To the Editor:
I am an outdoorsmen and gun owner here in the North Country, and I've spent years helping hunters and sport shooters exercise a right that's guaranteed to every one of them. I've also spent those years watching Albany make it harder to do.
With the Democrats relentless attacks on the 2nd Amendment, law-abiding New Yorkers have faced longer waits, higher fees, more paperwork, and a maze of rules that change faster than anyone can keep up with. My fellow gun owners are people who've carried the same rifle for thirty years, women who want to protect themselves, and veterans who served this country. Albany treats every one of them like a suspect.
That's why I'm supporting Anthony Constantino for Congress, and I'm far from alone. Anthony has earned the endorsement of the National Rifle Association, an A rating from Gun Owners of America, and the endorsement of 2A4NY. Those groups don't hand out their support to anyone who simply says the right things on the campaign trail. They look hard at where a candidate stands, and Anthony has shown he'll defend the Second Amendment without apology.
Blake Gendebien is in the corner of the same Democrats that took away our rights. Gun owners in this district know what that means. We can't afford to send him to DC.
The Second Amendment protects every other right we have. Anthony Constantino will stand up for it, and he'll stand up for the people of the North Country who live by it. He has my vote.
