Congressional candidate Matt Castelli, who is running to unseat Congresswoman Elise Stefanik in NY-21, received the endorsement of the New York State United Teachers Union (NYSUT).
NYSUT had previously endorsed Stefanik in NY-21.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the New York State United Teachers Union. As the proud son of a union teacher, and the only Democratic candidate to have the support of labor unions in this primary, I am committed to ensuring that our hardworking educators and school-related professionals in NY-21 have the resources and support they need to provide a quality education to our children. Our schools are the heart of our communities and I look forward to working to expand funding and enact policies in Congress that help our students and teachers thrive.” said Castelli.
“Matt is the only choice to beat back attacks against strong public schools in the North Country,” said NYSUT President Andy Pallotta. “He is a strong advocate of unions, and will work every day in Washington to keep educators, students, and families safe.”
