Grants of up to $5,000 are available for each of five geographic regions in St. Lawrence County to support for ideas that promote physical activity or healthy eating.
Funding could include a new playground in the neighborhood, a community garden, or a fresh idea too. The deadline for applications is 4 p.m. Oct. 18.
Following review of the application, a representative from the project will make a presentation to the Creating Healthy Places Committee at 9 a.m. Oct. 31st in Canton.
To discuss a project idea, and to receive a grant application, contact Creating Healthy Places Director, Karen Bage, at 261-4760, ext. 224 or karen@gethealthyslc.org.
