COLTON -- Maia Knight, a junior at Colton-Pierrepont Central School is taking a 15-week semester with the Traveling School in southern Africa.
She will study ancient tribes, discuss the effects of colonial rule, learn the fundamentals of six local languages, read acclaimed southern African writers, focus on scientific aspects as they pertain to southern Africa and become involved in an intensive community service project.
Her time will count toward her senior year of credits at CPCS.
