POTSDAM -- The College Goal NY event will be in Potsdam Saturday, Jan. 31, at Clarkson University’s Bertrand H. Snell Hall from 9 a.m. to noon.
College Goal NY is a nationwide volunteer program that helps students and families who need assistance in completing financial aid forms.
Financial aid professionals from several local colleges and universities will be present to answer questions and assist with the online completion of both the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the New York State TAP application.
The program is free, but families must register www.collegegoalny.org.
The site also contains information regarding what documentation families should bring with them. Students do not have to be an applicant at any particular college to participate.
