Victor, NY - Tyler Cline (Tuxedo, NY) of the Clarkson University Golf team was the only golfer below par at the turn, and the senior finished the first day of the Liberty League Fall Qualifier with a two-over par 74 on Saturday at the 7,051-yard, par-72 Ravenwood Golf Course.
The Golden Knights finished the first day in sixth place out of seven teams with a score of 321. The University of Rochester led the pack at 295, followed by Rensselaer (297), New York University (301), Skidmore (302), St. Lawrence (316), and Clarkson, with Hobart (327) rounding out the teams.
Cline shot 35 on the front and 39 on the back for a score of 74, good enough for a tie for seventh among the 42 golfers. Junior Scott Henning (Vienna, VA) finished in a tie for 29th with a score of 81 (38-43) while Jim Greg (Clifton Park, NY) and Anthony Monteleone (Warsaw, NY) each scored 83 to place in a tie for 31st.
