Owning a 28-9 overall record, the Clarkson University Women’s Hockey team has been selected as one of the eight teams to participate in the 2013 NCAA Tournament. The Golden Knights will face off against the No. 3 seed Boston University Terriers at Walter Brown Arena in Boston on either Friday or Saturday in the national quarterfinal round.
Guided by fifth-year co-head coaches Matt and Shannon Desrosiers, Clarkson is making its second appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Golden Knights also played in the national tournament in 2010.
2013 NCAA Tournament bracket
Winners of the one-game quarterfinal round will advance to the NCAA Championship Tournament to be play at Ridder Arena on the campus of the University of Minnesota. Semifinal games will take place on Friday, March 22 and the championship game will be played on Sunday, March 24.
Clarkson is 1-2-1 all-time against Boston University. The teams last played on October 21, 2011, battling to a 2-2 tie at Cheel Arena.
