POTSDAM -- The Clarkson Inn has received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award for the third consecutive year.
The honor is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor. Only the top-performing 10 percent of businesses listed on TripAdvisor worldwide receive this prestigious award.
“Our team of associates provides outstanding service to our guests on a daily basis," said Clarkson Inn General Manager George Lavigne. "This award is in recognition of their hard work and total commitment to excellence. As well, I thank all of our guests for showing their appreciation of our hospitality.”
To qualify for a Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travelers on TripAdvisor, and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.
The Clarkson Inn, 1 Main St., is a boutique hotel in a Victorian setting on the banks of the Raquette River.
"Since its establishment nearly three decades ago, the Clarkson Inn has serviced the needs of the most distinguished travelers with impeccable and beautifully furnished guest rooms, encompassing attention to details, and genuine hospitality," he said.
