OGDENSBURG -- Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center will hold a New York State approved child abuse certification program at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 24 in the Case Management Conference Room, on the third floor of the Medical Center’s Annex.
This program includes information on the physical and behavioral indicators of child abuse and maltreatment and the New York Social Services Law reporting requirements, including when and how to report, what actions are mandated, and the consequences for failing to report.
This program is required for all healthcare providers, caregivers, teachers, school service personnel and administrators.
Cost for the program is $20 per person. To register, call the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Case Management Department at 713-5264.
