CANTON - To celebrate the International Year of Chemistry, St. Lawrence University is hosting an art contest.
The department, with the Northern New York Section of the American Chemical Society, is holding a "chemistry art competition," open to all adults and children in the North Country.
Art works in any medium and format, with contents reflecting relationships or impacts of chemistry with all aspects of the world, or art works created by chemical processes carried out by artists will be accepted for the competition.
An award ceremony and exhibition of works will be held in the Johnson Hall of Science at St. Lawrence University on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. Art works must be received by Monday, Nov. 28. Prizes will be awarded to winners.
