HANNAWA FALLS -- Helping Hands of Potsdam announced that Casella Waste Systems is the premier sponsor for the Cindy Talcott Memorial Golf Tournament, slated for July 15, 2023.
Casella’s contribution of $5,000 sets the bar in support of Helping Hands’ most important annual fundraiser, the organization said in a press release.
“Casella is proud to be part of such a great event and to support an organization that does so much good for the community,” said Casella’s Potsdam Division Manager Matt Rose. “Casella is committed to the communities we serve and will continue to support Helping Hands and many other events and organizations that benefit our communities.”
Casella has a long-standing history of providing ongoing support and services to non-profits in the North Country through philanthropic endeavors and in-kind service donations. Helping Hands said the company provides waste removal services routinely at no cost, making a huge impact on the organization’s bottom line.
Helping Hands, located at the corner of Church Street and Route 56 in Hannawa Falls, provides assistance to many in our region. Through the work of Helping Hands, friends and neighbors in our community gain access to food, heat, furniture, utilities, guidance, and prayer.
Casella Waste Systems, Inc., headquartered in Rutland, Vermont, provides solid waste management services consisting of collection, transfer, disposal, and recycling services in the northeastern United States. Casella purchased locally owned and operated Waste-Stream, Inc. in 1998 and has since operated as a division of Casella Waste Systems in Potsdam.
