CANTON – A usually bustling motel at the Cascade Inn, Canton, now sits empty following the official closure of the popular restaurant and motel on Tuesday, Dec. 7.
With the passing of owner Garrison “Gary” Barcomb on Nov. 12, the business has laid dormant.
The future of the 4 West Main St. business remains up in the air. The Buccaneer Lounge located in the rear of the building is also closed.
A Facebook post on Wednesday morning, Dec. 8, stated “We will not be taking any reservations for the motel as of 12-7-2021. We would like to thank you for letting us be a part of your dining and lodging for many years.”
