POTSDAM — A car smashed into a telephone pole April 17, according to Potsdam fire.
Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue and County Car 10 responded to the accident near 69 Pierrepont Avenue around 11:30 p.m. that night, according to Paid Driver Mark Maroney .
Engine 49 Chauffeured by Maroney arrived on scene two minutes later and found that a vehicle had left the roadway and sheared a power pole.
National Grid was requested to respond to the scene.
Firefighters on scene, shut down one lane of traffic and provided traffic control which Rescue 30 (B. Bahr) had responded. Engine 49 provided scene lighting.
There were no reported injuries and the vehicle was towed away by Bob's Auto.
Potsdam Police investigated the scene and were assisted by SUNY Potsdam University Police.
Potsdam Fire was in service at 12:58 a.m.
