RUSSELL -- A Canton woman is listed in fair and stable condition after being airlifted to Syracuse following an ATV crash that injured three other people, according to St. Lawrence County Sheriff deputies.
Deputies say they responded to the wreck at 1:28 p.m. Saturday on Backus Road.
An ATV operated by Alysa M. Crawn, 26, of County Rte. 12, Gouverneur had overturned and ejected her passenger, Kerianne M. Ames, 22, of County Rte. 27, Canton.
Ames was then struck by a following ATV, deputies said.
She was transported to SUNY Upstate Medical Center with a leg and hip injury, deputies said, where her status is now listed as fair and stable.
Crawn and two juveniles were transported from the scene to Canton-Potsdam Hospital, deputies said.
There is a pending investigation, according to the sheriff's office.
Other agencies responding to the collision included state police, Russell Rescue Squad and Canton fire and rescue.
