CANTON – The village and town have agreed to a contract with a digital marketing company.
Village Trustee Anna Sorensen informed members of the village board Wednesday night, Sept. 21, that an agreement had been reached with CGI Digital based in Rochester.
At July’s board meeting, Sorensen introduced the marketing proposal. CGI Digital is a company dedicated to serving communities and businesses through community-based videos.
“I sense we are past the point of doing any film work,” said Sorensen, adding overall design work will be the initial endeavor.
She also pointed out there will be no cost to both the town and village. Themes may involve economic development, recreation and other impactful areas identified by town and village boards.
The July conversation had village leaders leaning toward September as the best month to film, alluding the to fall weather, farmer’s market and the return of the students at St. Lawrence University and SUNY Canton.
CGI’s website states their Community Showcase Video Program is nationally recognized as a vehicle to enhance municipal websites, delivering information that visitors re seeking. This service assists in community growth and development.
