CANTON — The village and town boards here are expected to get an update on the demolition of the old McDonald’s building Wednesday.

The boards will convene a joint meeting Wednesday, April 24 at 6 p.m. at the municipal building.

The boards will get an update on the project which will take down the old restaurant at 64 Main St.

The board is also expected to hear a presentation from Clarkson’s civil engineering students on the “Backusaurus Rex” construction project.

A discussion on the community’s $4.5 million NY Forward award is planned. The municipalities planning department has been actively seeking proposals under the Canton Midtown Project that would be funded under the state grant.

Other agenda items include a memorandum of understanding for the LWRP grant, discussion of shared service agreements, the Stiles Avenue Grant update, ethics board openings, and the upcoming public hearing for the EDF commercial solar project set for May 7.
