CANTON -- The Canton United Methodist Church women, known as the United Methodist Women, recently installed their officers during their Sunday Worship Celebration Jan. 18.
They presented St. Lawrence County Sheriff Kevin Wells with 10 "Paddie Penguins" to be used by officers to give to children for emotional support during a call.
The stuffed penguins were blessed by the pastor, Rev. Michael Terrell and the congregation before they were given to the sheriff's department.
