POTSDAM -- Mary Clary, volunteer at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital Guild Gift Shop was recently named Volunteer of the Winter by Hospital staff and fellow volunteers. Clary joined the Hospital volunteer program in 1998 to share her time and talents within the gift shop, which is owned and operated by the Potsdam Hospital Guild.
Gift Shop managers take the time to ensure specialty items are available for all ages and interest groups. Items include: Webkins®, stuffed animals, flowers, seasonal gifts, scarves, wind chimes, jewelry, handbags, framed prints, baby items, and much, much more. The Gift Shop is open Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and is also open on Weekends from 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Canton-Potsdam Hospital currently has more than 130 active volunteers who have shared more than 10,000 hours of support so far over the past year. Volunteer opportunities include: Gift Shop, Service Excellence, Patient Care, Emergency Department, Inpatient floors, Medical Records and many more.
