MASSENA — Boutique Air held a grand opening for their new air service on Tuesday afternoon at the Massena International Airport.
They will provide air service to Albany and Baltimore daily.
The airline, which began offering flights April 17, was recently awarded the town's DOT Essential Air Service contract to provide the service.
Local officials and members of the Massena Chamber of Commerce were among the attendees welcoming Boutique Air CEO Shawn Simpson and Director of Operations Mat Butcher.
Boutique Air replaces the town's former air service company, Cape Air. Months ago, the town board voted to switch carriers after a public forum that included input from local residents.
Boutique Air operates a fleet of both Swiss-made Pilatus PC-12 aircraft and Beechcraft King Air 350 aircraft.
The daily flight schedule can be found at www.boutiqueair.com.
