OGDENSBURG -- Boaters will have one last time to complete their boating safety course before the end of this boating season. “Boat America” will be presented by the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary virtually, online, with live instructors, October 4-7 from 6:30- 8:30 PM. New York State requires all power boat operators, who must be 10 years or older, born after Jan. 1, 1988 to complete a boating safety course prior to Jan. 1, 2022.
All personal watercraft (jet ski) operators, who must be 14 years or older, must also complete a boating safety course. “Boat America” complies with this regulation.
Pre-registration is required and will be accepted until Sept. 24.
