NORWOOD -- A memorial blood drive at Norwood-Norfolk School in memory of Elementary School Principal Joanne Bigwarfe, who lost her battle to cancer on May 29, was a big success, according to organizers.
Over 50 units of blood were donated Saturday, surpassing the goal of 35 units.

An event gathering for Bigwarfe is taking place today from 1 – 8 p.m. at Ton's Sports Bar, Outer Market Street, in Potsdam.
