After day one of the UNYSCSA Championship meet, the St. Lawrence women's swim and dive team sits in 11th place with 62 points.
Sophomore Alanna Blackburn was the top finisher of the day for the Saints, posting a time of 24.68 to win the B final and finish ninth overall in the 50 free. In addition, Blackburn swam the anchor leg of the Saints 200-yard medley relay, joining Courtney Goodrich, Elizabeth Canne and Natalie Dellinger and helping to post a 10th-place finish with a time of 1:53.82.
Sophomore Olivia Rettstatt also posted a strong performance on day one of the meet, finishing the 500 free with personal best of 5:19.29 at a state meet.
Heading into day two, the Saints will compete in the preliminary trials of the 200 free relay, 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 400 medley relay and the women's one meter dive beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday. Finals are scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be broadcast live at http://www.livestream.com/ithacabombers .
