Geneva, NY - Alex Benway (Queensbury, NY) continued his outstanding season for the Clarkson University Cross Country team as the junior once again paced the Golden Knights runners at the Liberty League Championships, held at Seneca Lake State Park.
The Knights finished fourth among six teams in both the men's and women's races. In the men's race, Clarkson had 94 points, trailing St. Lawrence (15), Vassar (61), and Rensselaer (79), while leading Union (150) and Hobart (183). The women's team totaled 132 points, finishing behind St. Lawrence (22), Vassar (37) and Rensselaer (87), but scoring better than Union (134) and William Smith (139).
