GENEVA, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Cross Country Only Championships hosted by Hobart and William and Smith College this afternoon. The women finished 11th, while the men were 13th.
Freshman Olivia Rehm led the Bears on the day, crossing the finish line in a time of 22:18.89. Freshman Sarah Howe followed shortly with a time of 23:12.05. Freshman Margaret McGrath crossed the line at the 23:51.91 mark. Sophomore Rebbeca Dukett posted a time of 25:07.22 and junior Sara Behuniak finished in 26:11.10 to round out the top five runners.
Junior James Dalijah Demand paced the Potsdam men with an 8k time of 31:00.36. Sophomores Joseph Rafter and Jone Stone crossed the line in 31:23.88 and 31:34.77. Junior James Burton posted a time of 33:27.3. Sophomore Jonathan Doane rounded out the top five finishers with a time of 33:31.73.
The cross country teams return to the course next Saturday, Oct. 27 at 11 a.m. for the SUNYAC Championships hosted by Fredonia.
