In response to “Bassmaster Funding” the $60,000 that was mentioned, is either the entry fee for the series to come here or to help defer cost of the event. The event is estimated to cost $180,000. We do ask all business, bank, hotels, RVRDA, IDA, county and just regular folks here and in the surrounding counties for donations to help with the event. As you mentioned, yes there are many events to be had in St. Lawrence County and if we want to gain any ground with economic development we need to continue and do even more. If you care to volunteer to help with the event and learn the facts you are more than welcome to attend meetings that will start in the latter part of Jan., 2015. This will be advertised in the papers. It is always better to be well informed and understand the entire picture.
