MASSENA -- The Friends of the Nature Center at Robert Moses State Park will host several free outdoor events Saturday, June 29.
A morning basket-weaving workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to noon with Donna Jadlos of the Adirondack Basket Tree. The center will offer four more basket-weaving classes throughout the summer.
A children’s outdoor yoga class will be offered from noon to 1 p.m. Participants will learn basic poses and stretches while playing “red-light, green-light” and “freeze tag.”
The day will wrap up with a nature photography class from 1 to 3 p.m. in celebration of National Camera Day. Charlene Dumas, nature photographer, will lead a walk through the trails.
Dumas will help participants snap photos for the St. Lawrence River Seasonal Photography Contest. Contest submissions are due between July 12 and July 26.
