GOUVERNEUR -- Assembly candidate Ken Blankenbush, Republican of Black River, met recently with residents from the 122nd Assembly District at a town hall meeting.
Blankenbush, who says decision to run was largely inspired by his grandchildren, says his priority in this race is supporting North Country families. He says state policy “should support and not fight with the district’s values and needs”
“I’ve meet with voters throughout the district and people are fed up with the ways of Albany and its New York City leadership,” said Blankenbush. “North Country men and women work hard to build a future for themselves and their family only to have their dreams taken away by high taxes and bad state policy. The North Country has been habitually underserved and overlooked by the state legislature. I will get the North Country the attention it deserves. For families to thrive we need to relieve these burdens and find ways to bring jobs to the North County.”
