POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam recently named eight motivated and talented students to its Presidential Scholars Program, which provides funding and recognition for students to create their own independent project and to more fully develop their interests and intellect, while working with faculty mentors.
Area students receiving this honor include: Kristy Coyle of Potsdam, who is majoring in Community Health and will work with faculty mentor Sarah Lister on their project, titled "Food Security and Nutrition."
Dani Fregoe of Massena, who is majoring in Anthropology/Archaeology and will work with faculty mentor Farish Khan on their project, titled "Autism, Cultural Perception and Barriers to Diagnosis in Northern New York."
