In response to “We Love Out Animals to Death,” which appeared as a Letter to the Editor in the Aug. 24-30 issue of North Country This Week: if we follow your lead as you wish and take up going vegan, the world as we know it would be overrun with wildlife. Look around. there are bays of fish that wash ashore on each coast because our ecosystem can't support them any more. Deer are being hit by cars now more than ever because we are infringing on their habitat. Bears and mountain lions are now scrounging around urban areas for food. If you want to jam veggies down your throat all the time so be it. Let us carnivores have are meat!
