To the Editor:
I drive back and forth from Canton to Ogdensburg most days. Every day when I am leaving work, I see an Amish buggy without an orange triangle and sometimes I narrowly miss causing an accident because I'm trying to avoid it at the last moment. While I am glad to be able to travel back and forth, I am not glad to feel like I am risking my life or someone else's by doing so.
Please put something on the back of your buggy so I can see you. It doesn't matter if it's an orange triangle or not. Just put some kind of bright light on it or paint the back a bright color (the back is the only part I can see). Just something that will register with my tired brain that it's something that is trying to travel on the road and not part of the scenery.
I think it's great to have a different way of life. My way of life just happens to involve driving a large vehicle at 60 mph and I don't want to endanger anyone else's life.
