AKWESASNE -- After canceling their last two events due to rain, officials at Mohawk International Raceway are looking to kick off their season on May 23 with a "Chevy Runs Deep" modified series, along with regular a program of sportsman, mod kites and bandit classes.
The modified main event will be the Memorial Cup race.
The Memorial Cup has been a big happening for the raceway since 1990.
Races start at 7:30 p.m. Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the general admission area opens at 5 p.m.
General admission is $20, kids 12 and under are $8. Pit pass with DIRTcar license is $30 and $35 for non-members.
