It wasn't too long ago that myself and other NYSUT brothers and sisters waved signs and boarded buses to Albany to help save Ogdensburg Correctional Facility. Nor would we delay doing it tomorrow if they needed us! However, I'm wondering where the supporters and bus to Albany is for us? Teachers, the single largest group of employees in the North Country, the people that eat in your restaurants, shop in your stores, buy cars from your dealerships, and spend hours a day with your kids! Now more than ever unions need to support each other. Let your union voices be heard and be proud of the jobs you do!
