So, if the village residents vote to dissolve the Village of Potsdam, does that mean all the Village ordinances go by the wayside? Like noise ordinances, farm animal restrictions, code enforcement and the like? I would assume the town laws would become the law of the land. It would be interesting to see what sorts of things would go away with a yes vote! I’d also like to see lists from the town council of those items that might be first on the possible chopping block -- sidewalk plowing? leaf/brush removal? parking meters? paid firemen? If villagers are going to vote, they need to be fully informed before doing so.
