In response to “Crosswalk Danger” (Sept. 8-14), in Potsdam and anywhere else with a double lane roadway: The crosswalk in Canton near Jreck’s is extremely dangerous. I have been hit and almost hit a pedestrian several times. It is impossible to see with the number of vehicles parked along the street and with the busy traffic. Not to mention pedestrians just assume that if one car is stopped the lane adjacent will stop as well. All crosswalks on double lanes should be controlled by a light, not up to the pedestrian.
