POTSDAM — A mix of wintry precipitation is expected Saturday through Saturday night across St. Lawrence County, predicts the National Weather Service.
Snow, sleet, and freezing rain are expected, especially in the higher terrain, the weather service said.
Light snow and ice accumulations are possible.
This may make travel difficult, especially Saturday evening and overnight.
In addition, gusty winds of 25 to 35 mph are expected Saturday afternoon and overnight. Localized gusts up to 40 mph are possible.

Tonight
Partly cloudy, with a low around 26. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Saturday
Rain and snow before 3pm, then snow and sleet, possibly mixed with rain. High near 39. East wind 6 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Saturday Night
Rain. Low around 34. South wind 10 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Sunday
Rain and snow showers likely before 3pm, then a chance of rain showers. Cloudy, with a high near 38. Southwest wind around 17 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
