Warmer winter day with chance of snow, rain, drizzle expected in St. Lawrence County

Posted

Generally dry weather is expected over the next two days with just a low chance for some light snow showers across the higher terrain tonight as a weak cold front moves through the St. Lawrence Valley, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The high today will be around 36 with mostly cloud skies and a chance of drizzle this morning, the service says. Overnight there is a chance of snow, rain and freezing drizzle with lows around 13.

High pressure behind the front will bring cooler conditions tonight through Monday

night, before warmer weather returns Tuesday along with some mixed precipitation, NWS says.

As a low pressure system tracks northwest of the region on Tuesday, morning snow is expected to transition to a mix of rain and snow in the afternoon before ending as snow showers Tuesday evening, forecasters say.
