Relatively quiet weather will continue across the North Country today and tonight with high pressure remaining over the area with high temperatures a few degrees above seasonal normals, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Expect a high today near 76 with mostly sunny skies, the service says. Overnight there will be a low around 62.
Moisture will increase over parts of the area on Wednesday, bringing a chance of showers to portions of the North Country, NWS says.
A better chance for showers looks to come Thursday night into Friday as a slow moving
low pressure system moves toward the region.

A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. South wind 8 to 11 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Wednesday Night
A 50 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 64. South wind 9 to 11 mph. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Thursday
A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73. South wind 8 to 10 mph. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
