POTSDAM -- The Town of Potsdam has posted a redesigned website that was months in the making.

One of the best features, according to project leader Town Clerk Cindy Goliber, are listings accessible from the home page from each department of town government.

"It gives easy access to every department people might be looking for, something we didn't have before," she said.

Under the Community tab on the home page are links to fire and rescue organizations and to other resources such as schools and medical centers, and a link to subscribe to notifications and emergency alerts.

The project has been ongoing since last winter and has had input from every area of town government. Several rounds of reviews were undertaken, coordinated by Goliber, and designed and input by contractor BAS "in a collaborative effort," Goliber said.

She said there will be more additions to roll out as time goes on.
