The last day of school for many in St. Lawrence County will likely be a beautiful start to summer vacation for children and families, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Forecasters predict sunny skies today with a high near 81. Winds will be south at 9 to 13 mph. Tonight, expect a low around 59, with winds 9-11 mph.

More sunshine and moderately hot temps are expected Friday with a high near 83 likely, NWS says.

There is a 50% chance of rain Saturday with temps in the mid 70s, the service says.
