Mostly sunny skies and moderate temperatures will return for the next couple of days, as the clouds over the St. Lawrence Valley move out during the mid-day hours today and temperatures reach the low 80s, according to the National Weather Service.

Skies will be mostly clear tonight with lows around 55 with some fog, particularly in valleys.

Mostly sunny skies will continue on Friday with daytime temperatures reaching about 84. Friday night, clouds move in with lows around 60, cooler in higher elevations.

Saturday, the NWS says there will be a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, but the sun will peek through the clouds from time to time, and the temperature will reach above 80. The chance of rain increases to 40 percent Saturday night, with lows around 64.

The chance of showers and thunderstorms reaches 50 percent Sunday under mostly cloudy skies and highs around 80. Sunday night, there will be a 40 percent chance of showers with lows about 64 degrees.

The chance of showers is predicted at 30 to 40 percent Monday and Tuesday, diminishing by mid-week as the clouds break up and mostly sunny weather returns.
