LISBON – Businesses, individuals and organizations interested in participating in the Lights on the River still have time.

“The holiday season in St. Lawrence County shines brighter with the return of the beloved "Lights on the River" event at Lisbon Beach and Campground. Celebrating its 14th year, this festive event not only mesmerizes visitors with its dazzling light displays but also plays a significant role in supporting local communities,” a release from organizer Scott Wilhelm said.

“Since its inception, "Lights on the River" has been more than just a spectacle of lights. It's a heartfelt initiative that has contributed almost $200,000 to local food banks. This remarkable achievement reflects the generosity of visitors and participants who have supported this event over the past 13 years. As we step into the 14th year, the commitment to help those in need continues.”

As always, entry to the event is free, with cash or food donations graciously accepted when you enter. All proceeds will be donated to St. Lawrence County Food Pantries, making every contribution a step towards helping those in need during the holiday season, Wilhelm said.

He also encouraged those interested to help by adding a display.

“Lights on the River is still looking to pack the beach and add more displays. also extending an invitation to more organizations to set up displays. It's an excellent opportunity for businesses, community groups, and individuals to showcase their creativity while contributing to a noble cause. This year's event is scheduled to illuminate the winter evenings from Dec. 16 to Dec. 23.

The display hours vary, with special extended hours on certain days:

Saturday, December 16: 5 pm – 9 pm

Sunday, December 17: 5 pm – 8 pm

Monday, December 18: 5 pm – 8 pm

Tuesday, December 19: 5 pm – 8 pm

Wednesday, December 20: 5 pm – 8 pm

Thursday, December 21: 5 pm – 8 pm

Friday, December 22: 5 pm – 9 pm

Saturday, December 23: 5 pm – 9 pm
