State police respond to nearly two dozen accidents and disabled vehicle calls, Massena PD phone lines operational again

State Police responded to nearly two dozen accidents and disabled vehicle incidents on Christmas Eve.

State Police also responded to a two-vehicle accident in Potsdam.

According to police, Dean Christopher Thornton, 41, of Potsdam and Rex James Oshea, 39 of Canton, were involved in a two vehicle accident on US Highway 11.

Police say the incident occurred at the intersection of Aldis and Walmart in the town of Potsdam.

No injuries were listed and no tickets were issued.

Other incidents include the following:

* Two, one-vehicle accidents in Lisbon

* Two, One-vehicle accidents in Oswegatchie

* A disabled vehicle in Lisbon

* Multiple disabled vehicles in Gouverneur

* Single-vehicle accidents in Massena, Waddington, Potsdam, Madrid and Lousiville

* Multiple disabled vehicle incidents in Massena, Waddington, Stockholm and Lousiville

Massena Police also reported the station's phone lines have been restored.
