St. Lawrence NYSARC's fundraiser features grand prize of $10,000

CANTON -- St. Lawrence NYSARC’s 30th Annual Fund Raiser drawing on Friday, Nov. 12, at the Best Western, features over 30 prizes, including a grand prize of $10,000!

The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the certificate drawing will begin at 7 p.m. The event is hosted by WWNY-TV’s 7News This Morning and “7News at Noon anchor, Jeff Cole.

The event is free and open to the public. Sponsors for the event include: Rose and Kiernan, Inc., Community Bank, Team Blevins, Tracy’s Used Cars, and Key Bank.

Fund raiser tickets are on sale for $10 each or three for $25, and will be sold in a limited subscription of 6,000.

This year’s prize value totals more than $21,000. Other top donated prizes include His and Hers Citizen Watches from Carbino’s Jewelers, Laptop Computer from Advanced Business Systems, Cash from Casella Waste, Electric Lift Chair from Harris Medical, Best Recliner from Green Furniture, an Original Painting by Wilson Bickford, a Hand Sewn Quilt from Gouverneur Roofing & Sheet Metal, and a Golf/Stay package from Best Western. A complete list of prizes noting various community partners throughout St. Lawrence County is available on the Agency’s website, www.slnysarc.org.

The money raised is used to help support the agency’s work on behalf of children and adults with intellectual and other disabilities. They are vital for services not fully financed through other sources.

The fund raiser provides opportunities for people to participate in cultural activities, respite and travel experiences, and services for people on the autism spectrum.
